Your sightseeing tour with a Local Specialist starts with a visit to see the Parthenon on the Acropolis, one of the most famous monuments in the world. A sacred site since Mycenaen times, Athenians worshipped their deities in temples at the Acropolis. See the Panathinaiko Olympic stadium, the Evzone guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier plus other wondrous sights including the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch. At the port of Piraeus, board a fast ferry for your crossing to the idyllic Cycladic Island of Mykonos, playground of the rich and famous. Enjoy an orientation on arrival, then spend free time admiring the unique windmills, narrow winding pathways and tempting boutiques. You have two glorious days to spend exploring Mykonos. The most cosmopolitan of all the Greek islands, Mykonos is also well-known for its splendid beaches. Notable landmarks include the picturesque waterside area of Little Venice, the 17th century Church of the Paraportiani, the Archaeological Museum and the Aegean Maritime Museum.
