Salt Lake City – Montpelier – Jackson

Put on your cowboy hats, pull up your boots and get ready to create memories that will last a lifetime. Head north and enter Wyoming for your first encounter with the mighty Rocky Mountains. Follow trails blazed by rugged mountain men centuries ago. Stop at the Oregon Trail Center in Montpelier to get a glimpse into the thrills and challenges of the Old Trail. Enjoy lunch in a covered wagon before crossing the famous Oregon Trail to the authentic Old West town of Jackson. Passing through the town's famous landmark arch of tangled elk antlers, take a walk back in time as you explore the Town Square with its Western boardwalks, craft boutiques and ice cream shops—all surrounded by the majestic Rockies. Rise early if you'd like to rollick down the Snake River on a scenic optional wilderness float trip (seasonal). Later, discover dramatic Grand Teton National Park. Travel onward to Montana's Big Sky Country and settle in for big fun at an 1898 homestead where you will enjoy a classic Western dinner. Full Breakfast, Dinner

Giddy up cowboys and girls. There are many fun choices on the Ranch this morning: join a whitewater rafting trip down the Gallatin River or saddle up and ride with a real-life horse wrangler in the Montana wilderness. After lunch at the Ranch, visit The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone before entering one of America's most famous National Parks, Yellowstone. Enjoy a two night stay inside Yellowstone National Park, where each lodge has its own unique setting and atmosphere. Lodges featured are the Old Faithful Inn, Lake Yellowstone Hotel, Old Faithful Snow Lodge, Grant Village, and the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. This morning, say farewell to majestic Yellowstone. Head east to the town of Cody, named for its most famous native son, Buffalo Bill. Get a glimpse into the fascinating history of the American West at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West where you'll experience the culture of the cowboy, the role of the firearm in the early days and the culture and art of the Plains Indians. After a hearty breakfast, your journey continues on to South Dakota. Visit Crazy Horse Memorial where you'll gaze in awe at the towering tribute to legendary Lakota leader Crazy Horse being carved into the mountain and discover the culture of his people. The evening is yours to explore in Rapid City. Or perhaps take an optional trip to the moving Mount Rushmore Lighting Ceremony, a chance to see one of America's most famous landmarks from a different perspective.Full Breakfast

Rapid City and Black Hills Excursion

The first stop this morning is Bear Country USA, a wildlife park featuring the world's largest private viewing habitat of American black bear. Enjoy a drive through this spectacular and unique park and walk through the Wildlife Center, where younger and smaller animals frolic in their outdoor exhibits. Next, head to the famous Black Hills of South Dakota to view one of America's most iconic landmarks: the presidents sculpted at Mount Rushmore. You have seen the pictures of Mount Rushmore, but they pale in comparison to seeing this majestic site in person. It took 400 artisans 14 years to carve the sculptures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln into the mountain.
