Your journey today will follow part of the route taken by pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, also known by the English name the 'Way of St. James'. The aim of pilgrims is to walk to the shrine of the apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in the north-western part of Spain. Many take up this route as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual growth. The walk between these two points normally takes pilgrims between two to three weeks to walk.
