The afternoon is yours to relax and settle in. You will be greeted on arrival at Charles de Gaulle airport and transferred to your hotel in the centre of Paris. Later, join Frank and your Tour Director for a warm and friendly Welcome Reception and the opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers over a pleasant evening of dinner and wine.(Breakfast)

Paris & Versailles

Sightseeing with a Local Expert takes you by the Île de la Cité to see Notre Dame Cathedral with its famous tale of Quasimodo. Then around the imposing facades of the Louvre and Garnier’s Opera House. See the obelisk in the Place de la Concorde and drive along the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. Next, survey the city from the heights of the Eiffel Tower, built for the World’s Exhibition of 1889. This afternoon, France’s royal history is revealed at King Louis XIV’s majestic palace of Versailles, along with its magnificent garden. Visiting the luxurious Grand Apartments, the chandelier-lit Hall of Mirrors and the Chapel of Versailles, you get a glimpse into the lives of 17th century French nobility.

Loire Valley Excursion

Take a day tour from Paris to visit two of the most famous chateaux of the Loire Valley: beautiful Chenonceau Castle and perhaps most magnificent of them all, the Chateau de Chambord. You’ll witness the glamour and grandeur of French royalty and aristocracy, and gain insights into “castle life” in these Renaissance riverside castles.

Paris – Giverny - Bruges

Today head to Giverny to view the gardens that inspired many of Impressionist Claude Monet’s most famous masterpieces, seeing the Japanese Bridge which crosses the illustrious water-lily pond – as painted in Monet’s magnum opus ‘Nympheas’. Explore the gardens further with Frank as he explains the many plants and flowers grown here. Continue to medieval Bruges in Belgium. This evening enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Sightseeing Bruges then on to Amsterdam

This morning experience the medieval charm of Bruges on a relaxing canal cruise. Later, stroll along the cobbled streets lined with high gabled houses from the Golden Age of the 16th century. Visit the market square dominated by the 272ft Belfry of the Market Hall. Then explore Burg Square with its ornate Gothic town hall and glorious frescoes on the walls of the Holy Blood Chapel. Depart for Amsterdam. Enjoy an orientation tour past the Mint Tower; floating Flower Market and Royal Palace in Dam Square. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Amsterdam

Starting your day at the famous Aalsmeer Flower Auction, the world’s largest flower auction, you experience the bustle of the auction floor, watching traders bid against the clock and seeing the incredible number of flowers sold every day from countries all around the world. Experience it all with Frank as he provides insight into the European flower business. Later visit a typical Dutch windmill and the picturesque village of Volendam. Volendam is renowned for its wooden houses, traditional fishing boats and old harbour. Renoir and Picasso both spent time in this quaint fishing village where some of the residents still wear traditional Dutch clothing.

Amsterdam – London

Journey to Calais for the channel crossing to Dover, where we are met by our coach and transferred to our hotel in the heart of London.

Chelsea Flower Show

Enjoy a full day to experience the famous Chelsea Flower Show – the ‘mecca’ of all garden shows with expert guidance and commentary from, Frankie Flowers. The Chelsea Flower Show brings together the very best gardens, flowers and gardening from around the world. Discover the latest in gardening trends with Frank, and watch him gain inspiration from the cornucopia of garden ideas on display. This afternoon a transfer back to the hotel is provided.

London Sightseeing & RHS Wisley

An included sightseeing tour of London’s West End shows you all the major sights - Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace. Later, visit one of the great gardens of the world, RHS Garden Wisley – home to some of the largest plant collections anywhere on earth. This evening, raise your glass with friends at your spectacular Celebration Dinner Cruise on the Thames River.
