Meet up with your Contiki Team this morning & get ready to go Irish at the biggest St. Patrick’s Day party on the planet. We’ll jump on the coach & jet across England & Wales before crossing the Irish Sea to Dublin to let the good times roll! On arrival we’ll head to our hotel where you’ll be based for the next 3 nights. Later, it’s time to get the party started with a night out on the town, so grab your new travel buddies & head out & hit the streets. Or, if you’ve chosen to meet us in Dublin, on arrival make your way to the hotel to meet the rest of the tour group who have opted to travel on the coach from London.

St. Patrick's Day in Dublin

Happy St Patrick’s Day! Spending it in Ireland is the best place to be in the world & today is going to be epic as you are part of Ireland’s biggest annual party! Locals & travellers take to the streets to celebrate, so make sure you’re up & ready to go early to get the best possible spot. Donning green, white & even a bit of orange is an absolute essential, so make sure you brought the right gear & costumes with you before you leave home. Get into it like the locals as you spend the day dancing, singing & having all round good times.

Dublin

We’ll start the day off right with an included walking tour of the city, so you can really get your bearings. Check out the city sights including Trinity College, the ‘Tart with the Cart’, the Monument of Light, Parnell Square, St. Stephen's Green, plus the unmissable Temple Bar district, where you’ll no doubt be spending some time over the next few days.
We’ll top off the tour with our highlight, a visit to the Guinness Storehouse. Dublin is the home of this famous black drop, so what better place to learn all about it than where it comes from. Get your Guinness facts & figures on a walking tour, topped off with a pint at the SkyBar at the top. Tasting the real deal with Dublin’s best views as your backgrop is a totally memorable experience.
This afternoon is free go Irish & get local, so head back to somewhere you might have liked the look of, or find a place to park up with your travel buddies & get amongst the buzzing city vibe. The city is perfect for getting around on foot, so cross over Penny Bridge & explore the shops, find a pub for a tasty lunch or just to hang out & people watch the cool crowd & street performers. The Irish are great, so making friends with the locals is a must! Ask your Tour Manager where the best places to head is, and get involved.

Dublin to London (or end Dublin)

Chill or catch up on some much needed sleep on the coach today, as we make our way back to London. Don’t forget to swap email addresses with your new travel buddies, as your tour ends on arrival in London.
