Welcome to Iceland, home to the Northern Lights, Bjork and active volcanoes! Check-in to the hotel and head straight out into Reykjavik to get a feel for the city. Packed with culture, art & activities this small capital city has a lot to offer. The mixture of stunning natural wonders, crisp clean air & quirky locals will ensure you'll be inspired & ready to discover more. Later, meet up with the other Contiki travellers and your Trip Manager over dinner & get ready for your adventure to begin.

Today we're off to the Blue Lagoon, one of the 25 wonders of the world. Get ready to enjoy the warm soothing waters, perfect for a relaxing & re-energising soak, as well as take some fomo inducing Instagrams, of course. The geothermal water has many benefits & the stunning blue-look lagoon is truly a unique experience. Once you're relaxed, it's time to head back into town to enjoy a free afternoon exploring the city. Tonight have your fingers crossed for a clear sky & have your camera at the ready for the spectacular Northern Lights on our locally guided trip, no doubt a bucket-list worthy experience.

Spouting geysers, tumbling waterfalls and ancient volcanoes await the nature curious on the Golden Circle tour today. What else has this pocket of the world got on offer? The oldest parliament in the world (founded in, wait for it: 930 A.D.!) and the geothermal area of Lake Thingvallavatn which thankfully are also on our to-do list. Reykjavik's famous party scene will round off our last night as posse together in this incredible country.
