Meet up with your Contiki Crew before we hit the road and take a ferry past the White Cliffs of Dover. We travel via World War I battle fields in the Valley of the Somme, to Paris. We kick start Paris with the 'Tour of Illuminations', where the French capital transforms into the "City of Lights". Lamp-lit bridges and cool little cafés give us a real taste of Paris’ romance. Your Trip Manager will fill you in on some of the world’s most recognised monuments, like the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower.

New Year's Eve in Paris

This town is loaded with possibilities. Discover its many bistros, museums, tree-lined avenues and diverse quartiers (neighbourhoods). Get a feel for French flair by window shopping on the Left Bank, step into the Notre Dame Cathedral or explore the endless galleries of the Louvre and get up close to the famous Mona Lisa. Try indulging in some delicious pastries and relax in one of Paris’ many open spaces. Walk down the Champs-Élysées, visit one of the city’s many museums or take a seat in a typical Paris café & people watch before kicking off your New Year celebrations in style!

New Year's day in Paris

Welcome to 2016! Why not take it easy this morning before joining the group to see a different side to the city with a cruise along the River Seine. The sights of Paris and its buildings are spectacular when seen from the water. The rest of the day is yours to explore! Tonight enjoy delicious local cuisine with our included dinner. Maybe try some authentic French onion soup, escargot, salad Nicoise or foie gras as you dive into this typically French meal. Treat yourself to the full Parisian experience with a cabaret show, complete with can-can girls and Champagne. But don’t stop there – hit the clubs and keep it moving with a fun night out.

Depart Paris

Say au revoir and stay in Paris for more time in the city, or take a complimentary return journey back to London where the tour ends on arrival.
